SIGUR RÓS Takk (XL)

Probably the most singularly gorgeous and moving show I have ever witnessed, when Sigur Rós brought their 4th album Takk to the stage at Hammersmith Apollo, I had to keep going back for more the second night via a tout.

Released on September 12, 2005, Takk took their sonic template and elaborated further with the help of Anima and a vast cast of musicians - at this show they numbered 12 on stage, largely inanimate behind a gauze upon which projections and lights turned them into giants.
