If this was not their debut (Von was their feet-finding moment), this record and all their debut shows in London blew collective minds in a very intense period.

In the space of a few months, I saw them get shut off mid-song at an NME Awards show at the Astoria on Jan 25 2000, Royal Festival Hall in April supporting Godspeed, then Queen Elizabeth Hall at the end of June and Union Chapel on August 24.

Every time, their sound just got bigger and bigger and our devotion to their hallowed pulse deeper and deeper.
