FEVER RAY (L)

I was working in Stockholm on an advertising shoot for Labatt's beer, staying at the Bern's Hotel, when the hotel bar unveiled a masked ball hosted by The Knife... It was my first encounter with the theatricality of Karin Dreijer.

So when her new project Fever Ray announced a debut London date, I had to attend. It was otherworldly in its gothic drama of stage lamps, lazers and animal headwear. So when the band returned to play Brixton Academy the following year I dragged unwitting friends along for the ride. Perverse and extraordinary.
